Photos of the Week
Downtown
These photos were taken downtown Vancouver. It was a great place to take the photos because there was a lot of colour and good lighting. I got to take Landscapes, portraits and macro shots all in the same area.
Outdoors
I think this is my favorite photo series I have taken all year, I took the wide angle outside to the park and I tried to capture the model in a natural habitat. I took many photos but these three where my favorite.
Paint
For this weekly challenge I took pictures of paint… I loved the way these photos turned out! I got to play and learn how to use the flash and the wide-angle lens. I took the photos of paint because I loved all the textures and colours of the supplies.
Nature
Nature! It’s spring and all the
flowers and weather are BEAUTIFUL! I used the macro lens for two of the shots
(flower and dandelion) and just a regular lens for the trees and sun. I when
taking these photos all I could think of was summer and how it is just around
the corner!
Jack
This week I
wanted a challenge, I went to a friend’s house and took photos of their dog. I
was difficult because the dog (Jack) would not stop moving. It took many photos
but I was happy with the way they turned out.
Studio |
|
I love working in the studio, I love playing with the lights, and working on creating bold pictures. For this series I wanted to take three girls and three different photos from a book and relate them, based on colours, and outfits. The first photo has neutral colours and a classy feel. The second photo contains a picture with a bright red object, and she is wearing a bright red headband that matches the object. All the other colours in the photo are not as bright to make sure there is only one main focus. For the last photo I wanted her to wear a long cardigan so that the her and the lady in the picture both had long pieces of fabric.
Opposites
winter and spring... happy and sad... Boy's vs. Girls...
Happiness
Photo one: Rebeca and I have grown up together and are always having adventures, this photo represents the way we are always laughing and goofing off on our way.
Photo two: In this picture I wanted to capture her eye because your eyes are able too see all the wonderful/beautiful things in life.
Photo three: Dragon Flies remind me of my mom and I when I was little, she would always tell me how much she loved Dragon Flies. Now ever time I see one they remind me of her.
